Today I had a good turn done to me...I took my nearly 14 year old car into a Body Shop/
Painting company here in my home town...It is a place we have done business with one
other time and one my daughter used twice upon our recommendation. I had scrapped my
car on the passenger side.... on a post while doing the lamest parking job ever....The kid gave
me an estimate and I told him it was highish and not affordable...could I please talk to the
manager. Well one of the owners came out and saw the scratch...he told me to wait inside
and he would see what he could do with it....When he came to get me and I saw that he had
removed the markings on this uglyest of scratches (and in his suit yet!) it was almost perfect and undetectable I was beyond happy...he would not let me pay him even a little. I went back in the office with him...intent on giving the whole office an ear full on what a gift their boss has...for public relations coupled with kindness...the office listened intently...not having seen such a scene anytime in recent history....I told them to take in what they just heard from a grateful customer and realize what a super and generous boss they had....an unusual boss indeed...
Sharing my story with the happy ending....hope you like....
See you dear folks....in the funny paper..................Louisa

Here's some "Stuff" I want to share..........................
Hope you all had a good and restful and happy
Thanksgiving with loved ones and friends....
Haven't been on here lately...why...just cuz...not
much to report has entered my often tired yet still fertile
brain...but today I feel okay to share my small but
for me adequate words....Hope they are of some interest
to you my vast and very important to me followers...
Read that a women named Antonia Brenner, 86 has recently
died...why was she in the news...here's the why...she was an
American nun who abandoned a life of privilege to provide care
and comfort to prisoners in Tijuana, Mexico's La Mesa penitentiary
for more than 30 years...That is some mighty big hearted human being....La Mesa will miss her and her sweet dedication to her fellow human being greatly....
Here's a saying that I like ...chosen out of my small but treasured collection....Raise your words not your voice....rain makes flowers
grow...not thunder.................
Going to muster up the interest and motivation to apply for the second time to an art fare down this a way...by the beach....got to try to sell my vast collection of small and some larger bird houses that God has put in my mind and heart to paint...I say that hoping to not sound overly dramatic...because for me this painting "thing" that has come into my life if truly God sent...I am loving it and loving any sale that comes my way...Did I tell you that last month...
I sold $227 worth of this and that of my work at a local art and craft show... I was doing the senior artist happy dance...
with even a few foot clicks...you know ala Gene Kelly...So I will post some of my latest larger bird houses...for your hopefully viewing pleasure......In the meant time I will see you dear's in the funny papers.......Louisa

Happy happy to see this wonderful invention............
Happy to see this on the news...An invention called Ekso Suit;
a paralyzed person who is paralyzed from the waist down;
wearing this suit is able to stand and walk, with canes...imagine that...
imagine that...Hope this incredible technology is available to all our paralyzed
veterans and the general public in the very near future. How I appreciate and admire
the brain power and the skill, etc. that went into this Ekso Suit design.
Thank God for the people who have the desire and inclination to do
inventing....especially inventions that give human kind a new lease and
out look on life...Hurray to all involved in this endeavor. I did see this on a
from the waist down paralyzed veteran...he was thrilled to be standing and
walking while wearing this suit...Google Ekso Suit for more information on
this..
God Bless and many thanks to all our veterans, this Veterans Day, a special shout out to my dear
son for his service to our country in the 2003 Iraq war....God Bless you..
Until next time....take good care....you folks out there.....Louisa.....................

This is what I your humble blogger....Louisa has been up to......
Last Sat. and Sunday 10-19 & 20th....I spent
at an art fare that was in a building at a church....
My space was miniscule....having cost me $50
smackers back in sign up month of July or so...
So I had to arrange on my two side by side card
tables covered with my old and faithful and still
pretty green satiny table cloth....my 2 grids...newly
made to stand by the capable carpentry hands of my
other half....(before this request that he fulfilled for me...
I had to lean them on something or other) anyhoo....my
small fold up stool....just the right size for my ancient derriere...
(Dang wish I had brought a cushion)...so the table held my assorted
painted tiles...small and medium size...my numerous small and 1 lrg. birdhouses...my 6 small...very small canvases....my larger
canvases held precariously on the grid thingy by some mickey mouse clippy things I found in the garage......my paintings in frames I was forced (because of lack of space) to lean up against anything that was sturdy enough to hold them....as the peeps walked by I got up and sort of stood to the side so that they could better see my lovely works of art...( my thoughts and those of a few my staunch fans)...and sure enough in this progression of looky-loos....people did indeed buy things from yours truly....to the tune of $227.00....this amazing and exciting sum made on the first day....
Now my second day there...which was the next day Sunday...I sold zip....let me repeat...zip-o-la....and when all is said and done...I was not an unhappy camper....my first day was so glorious for me...so
rewarding for me ...not only monetarily...but mentally....because I saw now and then when someone bought something that yes indeed there is a market for what I have named my "Absolute Doodling"..
Art....any of you who may have seen one of my previous blogs...where I have posted pictures of my paintings...well you will
know what this is all about....I'm on the look out for more venues to take my "Absolute Doodling" art to....and so I continue to paint that which I CAN paint....I'm happy about it all.....Maybe I will try to
post a few of my paintings tonight..........
Well you all....I will see you again in the funny papers, no doubt....
I like it there.....Take care...............Louisa

Reading is good........
Have happiness at your core...be high on life...These are not
my original thoughts...Though I love them...They belong to
Cary Grant...One of my favorite of all time actors of long ago...
After reading the Bio of Leo Tolstoy and Mrs. Tolstoy...Dreary....
As they were at each others throats constantly....then the Bio of
Eleanore Roosevelt....a bit to much politics to suit me...but she is
an outstanding example of a women who wanted to do for others...
to help many ...to do for her country...Lovely women....So at the
library I come across this book about Cary Grant written by his
only child... his daughter Jennifer.. It is wonderful in that she tells me that her father was loving, warm, interested, sentimental, gracious and a sweetheart of a man and father....No Mommy Dearest here...How refreshing and uplifting....a true tribute of love and marvelous memories for her father.... I chose well!!
Well peeps....( are you out there) That's all I got. Sometimes I feel like the well is running dry...and then into my mind pops well what I write here....I hope you like what I write....but if you are not one of my hundreds of fans....so be it...You know my writing is a good thing...in this respect....Dang I like it.....When all is said and done...I think that is what really counts...I mean if I wrote "stuff" and it left me cold ....that is not a good feeling...a good thing...so anyhoo.....I hope to see you all in the funny papers......Louisa

Young man with integrity.....................
Just saw this.....Joey a young man working at
a Dairy Queen in Minnesota...worked there...by
the way since he was 14....and now at nineteen...
he is the store manager....Right there a good
story of a young man who worked hard and
put forth the kind of effort and focus that his
superiors saw and rewarded with the promotion
to manager at the tender age of nineteen...Wait
though there is more to this story....one day Joey
saw that his regular customer came in for an ice
cream cone...this customer happens to be a blind
man....in the course of paying...the blind man
unbeknownst to himself dropped a $20 dollar
bill on the floor... the lady behind him picked it
up thinking no one saw...she put it in her purse...
denying that she had picked it up when Joey told
her he saw all this.....she immediately left...Joey
had a bad feeling for this blind man...losing this
substantial amount of money....so he reached into
his own pocked and gave him a $20 dollar bill...
Many customers saw this and reported it to whatever
news concern...and guess who Joey got a call from...
none other than Warren Buffet....well it turns out that
Mr. (very wealthy) Buffet owns all the Dairy Queens...
Mr. Buffets high praise for his young and unique
employee was greatly appreciated by Joey. Plus Mr.
Buffet invited him ( all expenses paid) to the next Dairy
Queen shareholders meeting....a smiling Joey accepted
with much anticipation.
In his interview with the press...they asked Joey what he
enjoyed doing during his time off...Joey told them
how much he loved and enjoyed the Nascar races...
and low and behold who does he hear from next....
Daytona 500 race peeps themselves inviting him to
the race....(once again all expenses paid)....very happy
and grateful was a smiling and very appreciative Joey...So sorry
I did not get this young mans last name...Still his story is
one of how awesome and full of righteous virtue our amazing
youth have in them when they see a wrong and do what is in
there heart to right it....Hats off to Joey..... and good young people
everywhere....and those that are not " Good".....need our prayers and help and encouragement for a better future............
Until next time...I will sign off and hope that my blogging
times continue even though there is a stretch of time in between my
blogs these days....not a sign of disinterest.... no...no...no...but more having to do with you know this and that...

What Can I Do For You Today...............
What can I do for you today....can I hold your hand
so you don't feel alone...can I listen with sympathy...with
empathy...with all of me....can I speak to you with words
of comfort and hope...helping you to cope...can I lift you
up with a prayer from my heart...can I be there for you
from the very start....Yes I want to...For Gods telling me
it cost nothing...to give of oneself...the reward will tug
at your heart....that's the lovely part....................................
Hope you my dear ones....out there.....somewhere out
there... like my newest poem ...let me know......Louisa....
