Last Sat. and Sunday 10-19 & 20th....I spent
at an art fare that was in a building at a church....
My space was miniscule....having cost me $50
smackers back in sign up month of July or so...
So I had to arrange on my two side by side card
tables covered with my old and faithful and still
pretty green satiny table cloth....my 2 grids...newly
made to stand by the capable carpentry hands of my
other half....(before this request that he fulfilled for me...
I had to lean them on something or other) anyhoo....my
small fold up stool....just the right size for my ancient derriere...
(Dang wish I had brought a cushion)...so the table held my assorted
painted tiles...small and medium size...my numerous small and 1 lrg. birdhouses...my 6 small...very small canvases....my larger
canvases held precariously on the grid thingy by some mickey mouse clippy things I found in the garage......my paintings in frames I was forced (because of lack of space) to lean up against anything that was sturdy enough to hold them....as the peeps walked by I got up and sort of stood to the side so that they could better see my lovely works of art...( my thoughts and those of a few my staunch fans)...and sure enough in this progression of looky-loos....people did indeed buy things from yours truly....to the tune of $227.00....this amazing and exciting sum made on the first day....
Now my second day there...which was the next day Sunday...I sold zip....let me repeat...zip-o-la....and when all is said and done...I was not an unhappy camper....my first day was so glorious for me...so
rewarding for me ...not only monetarily...but mentally....because I saw now and then when someone bought something that yes indeed there is a market for what I have named my "Absolute Doodling"..
Art....any of you who may have seen one of my previous blogs...where I have posted pictures of my paintings...well you will
know what this is all about....I'm on the look out for more venues to take my "Absolute Doodling" art to....and so I continue to paint that which I CAN paint....I'm happy about it all.....Maybe I will try to
post a few of my paintings tonight..........
Well you all....I will see you again in the funny papers, no doubt....
I like it there.....Take care...............Louisa

Reading is good........
Have happiness at your core...be high on life...These are not
my original thoughts...Though I love them...They belong to
Cary Grant...One of my favorite of all time actors of long ago...
After reading the Bio of Leo Tolstoy and Mrs. Tolstoy...Dreary....
As they were at each others throats constantly....then the Bio of
Eleanore Roosevelt....a bit to much politics to suit me...but she is
an outstanding example of a women who wanted to do for others...
to help many ...to do for her country...Lovely women....So at the
library I come across this book about Cary Grant written by his
only child... his daughter Jennifer.. It is wonderful in that she tells me that her father was loving, warm, interested, sentimental, gracious and a sweetheart of a man and father....No Mommy Dearest here...How refreshing and uplifting....a true tribute of love and marvelous memories for her father.... I chose well!!
Well peeps....( are you out there) That's all I got. Sometimes I feel like the well is running dry...and then into my mind pops well what I write here....I hope you like what I write....but if you are not one of my hundreds of fans....so be it...You know my writing is a good thing...in this respect....Dang I like it.....When all is said and done...I think that is what really counts...I mean if I wrote "stuff" and it left me cold ....that is not a good feeling...a good thing...so anyhoo.....I hope to see you all in the funny papers......Louisa

Young man with integrity.....................
Just saw this.....Joey a young man working at
a Dairy Queen in Minnesota...worked there...by
the way since he was 14....and now at nineteen...
he is the store manager....Right there a good
story of a young man who worked hard and
put forth the kind of effort and focus that his
superiors saw and rewarded with the promotion
to manager at the tender age of nineteen...Wait
though there is more to this story....one day Joey
saw that his regular customer came in for an ice
cream cone...this customer happens to be a blind
man....in the course of paying...the blind man
unbeknownst to himself dropped a $20 dollar
bill on the floor... the lady behind him picked it
up thinking no one saw...she put it in her purse...
denying that she had picked it up when Joey told
her he saw all this.....she immediately left...Joey
had a bad feeling for this blind man...losing this
substantial amount of money....so he reached into
his own pocked and gave him a $20 dollar bill...
Many customers saw this and reported it to whatever
news concern...and guess who Joey got a call from...
none other than Warren Buffet....well it turns out that
Mr. (very wealthy) Buffet owns all the Dairy Queens...
Mr. Buffets high praise for his young and unique
employee was greatly appreciated by Joey. Plus Mr.
Buffet invited him ( all expenses paid) to the next Dairy
Queen shareholders meeting....a smiling Joey accepted
with much anticipation.
In his interview with the press...they asked Joey what he
enjoyed doing during his time off...Joey told them
how much he loved and enjoyed the Nascar races...
and low and behold who does he hear from next....
Daytona 500 race peeps themselves inviting him to
the race....(once again all expenses paid)....very happy
and grateful was a smiling and very appreciative Joey...So sorry
I did not get this young mans last name...Still his story is
one of how awesome and full of righteous virtue our amazing
youth have in them when they see a wrong and do what is in
there heart to right it....Hats off to Joey..... and good young people
everywhere....and those that are not " Good".....need our prayers and help and encouragement for a better future............
Until next time...I will sign off and hope that my blogging
times continue even though there is a stretch of time in between my
blogs these days....not a sign of disinterest.... no...no...no...but more having to do with you know this and that...
