Here's a commendable story....from a young man in S. Carolina...
Valedictorian of his class...upon arriving at the podium...he tore
up his prepared speech, that was approved by the "speech approving
people" and instead proceeded to recite "The Lords Prayer"....Why
here is a prime example of a person taking a stand...doing what is right
for him...protesting the schools decision to not allow prayer
at this years graduation ceremony....The young man said he was
raised with prayer and by golly...there was going to be prayer
in this ceremony....Cheers from the young audience was loud
and approving and proud...I would believe...good for this young
man....
Another commendable story...a relative of mine who is a "Dust
Free Blasterer"....gave a church looking for a blasterer to take the
paint off a V.W. Volkswagon... a quote which was half of what he
would have normally charged for this kind of job...
Knowing that the church was going to auction off this classic car
after it was completely renovated....for charity....
Last thought from Louisa..........You know the wife of Billy Graham....
Ruth Graham...I read her life story...and I ended up becoming acquainted
with a lovely lady...who was down to earth sweet and kind...and she
loved to shop and find great treasures at thrift stores...how's that for
down to earth...her home was filled with wonderful pieces that she
refurbished or left as is....I like that...I also like thrift stores...looking
for unique vases...I have found three...and my cat's colorful and pretty
water bowl is from there other things as well...so Ruth Graham....I like you and I
like very much your dear husband... and you and he shall be together
again..........
Speaking of vases....know where I keep these three....in my bathroom...
with a rose...or a flower of any kind will go in them ...for my complete and
appreciative pleasure...Think about it...your brushing your teeth or
washing your hands...just put your head down a bit and whiff that
beautiful scented rose...or just look into the heart of that flower as
you wash your hands...I tell you it is one of the best ideas I have
had in sometime........
All right my friends...whoever you are...where ever you are...I'm listening
to my precious I-pod...so I'm singing...loud...gives me a rush of good indorfins....
I remain happy to be doing my dear little blog.............Louisa
I understand what you are saying and it seems so simple, why should he be held back from what his heart wants to say?
ReplyDeleteBut honestly, would you and the watchers feel the same joy and pride if it had been a student saying a prayer to Allah or a Wiccan prayer or even the prayer of a Satanist? Probably not. But they would be allowed to do so with equal legal merit if religion combines with state.
